(26 cm), Glass, Possibly Boston & Sandwich Glass Company (American, 1825–1888, Sandwich, Massachusetts), The hollow knop below the bird finial on this bank contains a five-cent American silver piece dated 1833. A ten-cent coin of the same date lies in the hollow stem. As is typical of glass of eastern Massachusetts origin, the form and style of decoration suggest an English antecedent
