To the rhythm of Marinera music both the lady and the horse compliment an age old traditional Peruvian dance. Many Marinera waltzes were written by Peruvian composer Chabuca Granda who had the Caballo de Paso and Chalan in mind when she wrote about the grace and smoothness of this horse's gait.
