The arrangement of myonlaments within the two pedal muscles is similar, but is different from that found for the LRM and ACC. Pedal muscles have much longer thick filaments and do not show obvious striations (Figs. 18-20). The two pedal muscles have different shell-attachment sites and trajectories.
