This is the most popular and easiest way to see and experience Barcelona. The idea is simple: you buy a 1 day or a 2 day ticket and then you hop on and off the buses that go non-stop around the city. There are two different routes - red line and the blue line. The same ticket is valid for both lines. The red line takes you around downtown, while the blue line goes a little further outside the city centre, including the football stadium Camp Nou, Parc Güell and Tibidabo. During the summer, there is also the green line that takes you to all the beaches of Barcelona. The key sights and world famous attractions of this fantastic city are included on the tour including the Gothic Quarter which is the centre of the old city of Barcelona. Wander around the ancient winding streets where many of the buildings date from medieval times, some from as far back as the Roman settlement of Barcelona. A great number of buildings are World Heritage Sites. Especially remarkable is the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, which can be seen throughout the city. His best known work is the immense but still unfinished Cathedral the Sagrada Familia, a symbol of Barcelona all over the world and has been under construction since 1882. Other works by Gaudi, include his famous Casa Batllo, Casa Mila and Park Güell.
