Hastings, East Sussex, UK. 8 May 2015. Conservative Amber Rudd holds Hastings and Rye constituency seat with an increased majority. Ms Rudd paid tribute to Council leader Jeremy Birch who died on Wednesday and all parties were united in grief at the loss of such a well respected man. A minutes silence was held prior to the start of the Party candidate Sarah Owen fought back tears much of the time and the whole proceedings were very sombre.
