SEA OF JAPAN (May 10, 2017) Senior Chief Quartermaster Donna Baraoidan, from Commander, Naval Surface Forces Type Commander Material Inspection Team, inspects binoculars aboard the amphibious transport dock USS Green Bay (LPD 20) during the ship’s Mid-Cycle Inspection (MCI). Green Bay, assigned to Commander, Amphibious Squadron 11, is conducting its MCI, which is conducted at the mid-year point prior to the Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) and is used to inspect and assess the material conditions of a ship.
