Dr. Allison Garrett has been chosen by the Kansas Board of Regents to fill the vacant post of President at Emporia State University. Dr. Garrett's training is in the legal field. A native of Neosho Missouri Garrett received a bachelors of arts from Oklahoma Christian before receiving her doctor of jurisprudence from Tulsa University, She also worked as a staff attorney at the Office of the General Council for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission before working at WalMart where she held two vice president roles.
