A German hunting sword, circa 1650 Heavy single-edged blade (18th century) with several fullers on either side, and a copper-soldered point, shortened (old alteration). Decorative etchings of martial trophies and a mounted man at the forte on both sides. Cut iron knuckle-bow hilt with a finely perforated plate set into the guard ring. The stag horn grip scales and the obverse side of the hilt are decorated with hemispherical iron rivet heads.
