Yorkshire, UK. 9th August, 2017. Making hay in Swaledale, Yorkshire Dales, has seen a return to methods not used for the past 50 years normally, as one farmer near Thwaite in the picturesque dale resorted to "Piking" their crop, protecting it from the adverse weather using canvas sheeting and baling it when the weather improves. Its a slow, hard way of making crop for the winter feed for the sheep. Credit: Wayne HUTCHINSON/Alamy Live News
