GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI--Col Ray Shields, Chief of Staff of the New York Army National Guard speaks with members of the New York Stability Transition Team At the Mississippi Army National Guard Readiness Center here on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012. Major General Steven Wickstrom, the commander of the as42nd Infantry Division and key leaders of the New York Army National Guard traveled here to speak with the 48-members of the STT before they departed for nine months of duty in Afghanistan. The team's mission is to assist and train elements of the Afghan National Army and Police.
