The St. Lazarus homeless shelter run by the Camillians, Warsaw, Poland


, Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland - Construction of a yacht at the St. Lazarus homeless shelter (Pensjonat Socjalny Sw Lazarz) run by the Camillians in the city district Ursus. The shelter was created by Reverend Boguslaw Paleczny (passed away in 2009), who was known in Poland for his dedication to help the poor. The idea is to help the poor help themselves. Every one of the approx. 100 inhabitants of the shelter has duties. It is to help them return to a working life. The yacht is financed by sponsors. In the picture Slawek, 53 and Kazik, 55 (right), both dockyard workers, who ended up on the street thanks to the crisis in the shipbuilding industry. GT
