Plant in rows five 'or six feet apart, wiih two to four feet between the plants in the row, in good rich soil, and manure annually. Cut the tops off within a f\ \v inc hes of the ground when planted. Immediatelv after the fruiting season, or very early in the Spring, cut out all the old wood which bore the last crop of fruit. Pinch the vigorous young shoots several times during the Summer; they will then grow stout enough to stand without stakes. Golden Oiu'en.
