It is curious that the theft of the Lambshould have such a special effect upon the heavens andthe weather, for this is definitely stated in the secondstrophe and antistrophe of the chorus.^ Though detailsare obscure, it is clear that we here have a legend Avithstrongly marked astrological elements.
