Dr. R. W. Walters, of Chagrin Falls, was born inRussell, Geauga County, on August 22, 1838. Havingreceived a good education at high-class seminaries, hemade choice of the medical profession. He commencedthe study of medicine early in the year 1861. OnAugust 15, 1862, he enlisted as a private in Company D,Seventh Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
