(After Miall) process from the inner and outer borders a short distance behind the middle; nares small, oval, and widely separated; a lyra situated on two preorbital ridges ; frontal excluded from orbit by junction of prefrontal and postfrontal; anterior border of orbit formed by prefrontal and lachrymal. Premaxillary teeth three or four in number, and larger than those of maxilla ; large palato- vomerine tusks before and behind posterior nares; mandibular teeth few, unequal, and many of them very large.
