Nearly all specimens are a little flattened by rock pressure. Rings in two specimens 8 and 9 in the same length. Siphuncle of one an inch thick is a little over three-twentieths of an inch wide. Ring ridges are direct., thus differing from the Niagara species; as also in having striae lengthwise. It tapers less than the ringed Hamilton species. —Schoharie East N. Y. VII h. — In Pennsylvania, found at Dingman's Falls, Pike Co. Spec. 808-18 (small fragment) " from Hamilton strata^^ VIII c. [possibly from a lower out- crop and mislabelled.] Orthoceras trentonense.
