Three-colour Mynali-, ( loldfinches. etc., are either building or sit-ting. The ( ioldlinches, both pairs, are feeding their respectivemates, and 1 think. ba\e nests but 1 cannot see them actually atwork, thouL;]i they keep about all the time. The llimalayaninltmches are in line form l)ut not nesting up to the present(May 4th I. .Ai-RKws. 1 have tpiite a numl)er of these, all of whichare looking very tit and have come through the trying winter Aviary Notes of iQi/. 12 = well in their unheated room. Black-faced Quail Finches arevery interesting;-, they have bnilt nests and laid e^i^s with meon several occasions, but have not. as yet. attained completesuccess. This year they have built an excellent nest, in a nicedry spot on th top of a bank. The nest is built entirely of olddry ,iL;-rass with a lon.^ domed entrance, they are now busycarryinj^- in feathers so hope they will soon lay. l^lrefin
