The Ropery consists of Hemp Houses and Yarn Houses. Two workers, a man and a woman haul the rope sleins into position on the traveller . The Rope House is operated by Master Ropemakers Ltd and is on the ground floor which is 1135 feet long and capable of laying 1000 feet of rope. It is situated at the Historic Dockyard, Chatham
