A railway station ticket collector looks at passengers at the Changhua railway station with a misty platform behind him. Misters are used to control heat and insects in many places around railway station in Changhua has been in operation since the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. Originally a wooden structure built in a Japanese architectural style,it was torn down and rebuilt larger in 1958 to meet the growing travel needs of the community.
