Chinese schisandra (Schisandra chinensis). This woody vine produces red berries (not seen) that are used medicinally to treat irritable bowel syndrome, colds, sore throats and hay fever. These berries are known as wu-wei-zi in Chinese, or five taste fruit. Photographed in Russia.
