Nativity scenes during the 76th Nativity Scene Contest. The 77th Nativity Scene Contest in Krakow. Krakow's Christmas cribs are miniature works of art. They are made by hand from easily accessible materials: cardboard, wood, small ornaments. Every year on the first Thursday of December artists meet around the Adam Mickiewicz monument on the Main Square to show their latest works. November 29, 2018, the tradition of building Krakow's cribs went to the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
