California Yellowtail Seriola dors alls (Gill) The yellowtail is found on our Pacific Coast from Mazatlanand Cape San Lucas north to the Santa Barbara Islands. Itusually occurs in abundance about Coronado Island during thespawning season, arriving in July and leaving in the fall, itreaches a length of 3 feet, is an excellent food-fish, and is muchsought by anglers. At Coronado Island it is one of the manyreally great game-fishes.
