The nuiin Iniilding is of the Gothic order of architecture, built of brick, andstands upon the most commanding point of the grounds. Tlie main frontextends ninety-six feet, facing Fiftli Avenue, while tlie eastern front extendsone hundred and forty feet, with a wing sixty-two feet in depth, embracing theschool Iooms and students apartments. The accompanying plans show the relations and uses of the severalapartments. The building is supplied with gas throughout, and hot and coldwater on each floor. The rooms and lialls are comfortably warmed hy means ofsteam radiators, and thorough ventilation is provided for by a system of fluesconnecting with every room in the building. All the rooms are neatly carpeted and furnished, and are arranged for thegreatest ease of communication.
