"Bradford Back to the Land Pioneers", 1906: photograph of Yorkshire members of the Back to the Land movement in their camp, 'Klondyke Villa', with tent, pickaxes and spades. In July 1906 the "Land Grabbers" occupied vacant land belonging to the Midland Railway Company near Whetley Mills, Manningham, Bradford. It was intended that the land should be worked by unemployed men. This picture includes Stewart Gray, pioneer of the UK Back to the Land movement (in white shirt), & local trade unionist & politician Charles Augustus () Glyde (standing with both hands on his jacket lapels).
