Vertex and frons æneous or bluish black, yellow-haired,just above the antennæ some black hairs. Epistorna somewhat bluishblack, slightly pruinose, white-haired. Occiput æneous or bluish black,yellowish-haired, at the top the hairs long. Antennæ black or blackish,not so long as epistorna, third joint about twice as long as broad,but somewhat varying in length; arista shorter than the antennæ,thickened in the basal two thirds. Thorax æneous, densely punctateand densely clothed vvith longish, yellow hairs; scutellum more coarselypunctate, with the hairs at the margin longer. Pleura likewise yellow-haired. Abdomen æneous, densely and coarsely punctate, slightlyshining, most towards the apex; it is clothed with short, yellow orreddish-yellow hairs, longer at the margin and longest at the basalcorners of second segment; at the second and third incisures the hairsare black, and the blackish-haired spaces sometimes somewhat ex-tended. Venter black, shining, with long, pale hairs, the fourth seg-ment with short hairs. Legs black or æneous black, the knees moreor less broadly reddish or yellowish; the tarsi sometimes almost quiteblack, but generally the middle metatarsus more or less yellow, oftenquite yellow; front tarsi generally black but the meta
