Two linesof pigment dots — the one at the nasal endmore plainly marked and each as long asthe disc — divide the terminals of the bandinto two narrow spaces. The lower marginof the band is drawn with numerous minutepigment grains that are sparsely suppliedto the upper border except at its nasal third line of pigment, deeper in color thanthe other two, and about as long as thepapilla is wide, indicates the middle pointof the band somewhat nearer its temporalend. At this point the band becomes slight-ly broader, especially below. In the centreof this shortest line the pigmentation issomewhat pronounced, but an outline of theordinary slit-like fovea within a retinal bandis not here well developed. An extension of the long diameter of thepapilla to meet the lower border of the retinalband, makes
