Article from local press: Newly-released figures show that Teesside had two of the cheapest houses sold in England and Wales in 2013 The two properties, both in Limetrees Close, Port Clarence, went for £8,500 and £9,000 respectively. Only a house in Curzon Road, Bradford - which went for £8,000 - could top that. The priciest house sold over the period was in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London. It cost just shy of £55m - the price of around 6,465 of the £8,500 Port Clarence homes. The data is taken from housing transactions registered with the Land Registry between January and December last year. And it shows that the Limetrees Close was the least expensive street on Teesside in terms of sales over the period, at an average of £16,714.
