The deposit of asphalt at the Lithocarbon Rubber Companys mine is in theAnacacho limestone. The asphalt-bearing horizon corresponds with the upper partof No. 6, above. The following is a compilation from a large number of sectionsmade along Turkey Creek, beginning at Cline Mountain, in the Brack- ett quadrangle, and extending to d/ectryosj/s. Gryphaaa ises/cu/a/79 us. Wagon Top Butte, in the Uvaldequadrangle, (ompilation of 20. sectionsCreek. along Turkey Feet. 19. 18. Hard gray limestone. Thislime-stone is coarsely granular, loosetextured, and possesses a veryrough, honeycombed, weath-ered surface. It contains anundetermined species of Radi-olites or Sphserulites 10 Thinly laminated, hard or marlylimestone 20 Ledges of gray limestone, withhoneycombed surface, but notso hard as the uppermost lime-stone. This bed is not wellexposed, so that its detail couldnot be determined 30 Hard, dark-brown, granularlimestone 3 Light-colored, yellowish, granu-lar limestone in hard, thickledges. This bed containsspecimens of a large Exogyraand a Radiolite; also somepebbles of white and yellow quartz 7 15. Thinly bedded limestone, becoming a thinly laminated, firm, calcareous shale. 1514.
