The Headstone Viaduct near Monsal Head. The viaduct is now a multi-use trail, its five arches spanning the River Wye. It is grade 2 listed structure.


The Headstone Viaduct seen from teh appraoch along the River Wye, near Monsall Dale Head, Derbyshire. The viadust was built in 1863 by the Midland viaduct is 300 feet (91 metres) long. It is a Grade 2 listed building and part of the Monsal Trail, a multi-use trail. When it was built it was harshly criticised by John Ruskin as spoiling the Dale.
