Just as the leading classes of Asters, such as the Victoria, Chrysanthemum and Paeony-flowered, have each in the past given rise to dwarf-growing sections, so now the beautiful and ex- tremely popular Mignon class has also produced a form with a low habit of growth. About 10 in. high, the plant branches just above the soil and the elegant stalks bear a profusion of lovely and refined semi-globular flow- ers. This new variety is of striking beauty and will doubtless take a lead- ing place among the dwarf classes.
