Cooke has been kept on the move for the last week, having the decoration for the reception given by Miss Boardman to the Red Cross so- ciety and the ball given by A. J. Lar- son and wife for Miss Wilmer. The ballroom decoration consisted of smi- lax, palms and pink chrysanthemums. The reception hall was banked with palms, ferns and large pink chrysan- themums. The dining room was dec- orated with Farleyense and pink snap- dragons on the mantel and tables. Elmer Maybury of the firm of Maybury & Hoover, met with a very painful accident while gunning in Maryland. In going over an embank- ment the earth gave way and the gun was discharged, the full charge blow- ing away part of his large toe. From the reports of all the florists, they will not travel north to get their Christmas stock as there are some very fine azaleas, cyclamen and poin- settias closer home. Gude Bros, have the decoration for Mrs. Rogers' ball. The decorations will consist mostly of American Beau- ties, Pink Killarneys, smilax and palms. Geo. Evenden of Williamsport, Pa., was in town last week booking orders for Christmas. He has some very fine poinsettias in ten, eight and six-inch pans. Schattmaier, manager for Z. D. Blaokstone, is confined to his home with a very bad cold, but late reports are that he is improving. Visitors : Wm. Craig, Robt. Schock, Joe Goudy.
