5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (March 21, 2017) An MH-60R Sea Hawk attached to the "Spartans" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 70 prepares to land on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77) . The George Bush Carrier Strike Group is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
