Illustration of a Hellfire AGM-114 R9X. This air-to-ground (AGM) missile was developed for the US Army. It does not carry any explosives, it instead damages its target with six blades (shown in the retracted position here) that are deployed just before impact. It is used as a targeted assassination weapon to reduce unintentional casualties. Its first known deployment was in 2017.
