The quarrelbetween the two men had its inception at theRepublican convention in Everett, when a pictureof Congressman Lewis, which was hanging on thewall, was torn down. James Connella made somecomments on the deed in his paper and cast somepersonal slurs on Ole Nelson, which the latterresented, hence the ill-feeling.
