Collywell Bay, the sea wall and the headland at Seaton Sluice with Blyth in the background, Northumberland, England, UK

The complex geology of the bay and in particular the exposed sandstone is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Beyond the sandstone is a band of softer shales and mudstones and this has led to the construction of a sea wall to protect the buildings on the headland. The sandstone sea stack is called Charley's Garden. There is a man fishing in the foreground.
