5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Aug. 18, 2018) Logistics Specialist 3rd Class Andre Wilson fires a 9 mm pistol under the instruction of Master-at-Arms 1st Class Brett Luchini, range safety officer, during a small arms qualification course on the flight deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109). Dunham is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
