Close to Lidian Rock, the beautifulCupsuptic Lake opens away to the northward, environed by sandy beaches 77. 78 and oroken by long promontories and green islands. l>y ascending thisbright forest-tarn and the intlowing stream for seventeen miles, we may reachthe long eight-mile carry which leads across the hills to Parmachenee Lake,away up at the head of the Magalloway River.
