Nipple tattoo after breast reconstruction surgery. Post-operative close-up of the left breast of a 52-year-old woman who has had surgery to excise breast cancer from this breast. The operation was a removal of part of the breast and the nipple, followed by reconstruction of the breast using a DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flap. The final stage, shown here, is the addition of a nipple tattoo to the reconstructed breast. For a close-up of the unreconstructed breast for comparison, see image C038/9458.
