Moko-moko plant (Montrichardia arborescens). This plant grows on the banks of rivers, creeks and swamps in South America and can reach heights of up to 3 metres. The leaves are eaten by manatees. The milky juice of the stem is traditionally used to treat deep cuts and nose bleeds. Photographed in the Kaw marshes, French Guiana.
