Astoria Bridge ( mi / long) spans the mouth of the Columbia River between Astoria, Oregon and Point Ellice near Megler, Washington. Construction was started in 1962 and completed in 1966. The bridge is seen here from the remarkable Cannery Pier Hotel, a superb vantage point for watching river vessels as well as oceangoing ships.
