Tom Bleier CEO and Chief Technology officer of Quakefinder in Palo Alto CA. The company is researching whether Extremely Low Field (ELF) magnetic field fluctuations are indicators of an earthquake. He is holding a readout of the magnetic fields from the Parkfield earthquake which occured on Sept. 28 2004. In the background is a graphic readout where red indicates fluctuations. The cube satellite 4 inches x 12 inches is a model of one launched by the company in 2003 with an ELF magnetometer on board to record fluctuations from 840 KM altitude.
