Jt is a Pel'- ' fectly hardy perennial vine of rare beaut}', blooming in June from seed sown in April, and bearing in the greatest profusion in- verted, pea-shaped flowers from iK to- 2^4 inches in diameter, ranging in color from white to rosy violet and reddish purple, with a broad feathered white marking through the center. The large buds and the backs of the flowers are pure whiteâa graceful contrast. The- flowers are produced in the greatest abundance, sometimes 6 to 8 in a single cluster. Plants 20 cts. each, $ per doz., $8 per 100. Seed $1 per oz., $8 per lb. (Not less than 1 lb. at lb. rate.) Carex Japonica variegata. The exquisite gracefulness of this new decorative gem is well shown in our cut, and will find a place for it among Palms, Ferns and Dracaenas. Indeed, its slender green foliage, edged with white, cannot be equalled by any other plant. It is extremely easy to grow, will stand heated atmosphere with im- punity, and can be carelessly handled with- out being damaged. Decidedly a plant for florists and for indoor culture, and yet it is hardy in the garden. Another valuable in- troduction by Messrs.
