The weather for a number of days following New Year's day was dark, gloomy and cold. This caused a sharp drop in cut flower receipts, and as a re- sult prices took a brace and markets have cleaned up remarkably well. With clearer skies, such as we are enjoying this week, supplies are coming in more freely, but the January slump has yet to materialize.
