Boraginaceae - Pulmonaria officinalis
Pulmonaria officinalis is an evergreen perennial species of lungwort, native to locations throughout Europe. A rhizome, P. officinalis produces small bunches of pink flowers which turn to blue-purple in spring. The plant has been cultivated for centuries as a medicinal herb, the ovate spotted leaves held to be representative of diseased lungs.
