POULTRY LABORATORY GUIDE EXERCISE I Cleaning and Disinfecting Poultry HousesPreparatory for Use by the Student Place all movable fixtures out of doors inthe sunshine, cleanse, and thoroughly spray withthe following disinfecting solution. Prepareas follows : — Y2 gallon of crude carbolic gallon of crude sulphuric acid. Add the sulphuric acid very slowly to the carboUc acid, stirring all the time. The vessel containing the carboHc acid should be placed in a large receptacle containing water, thus keeping the mixture cool, as a large amount of heat will be generated. One part of the mixture to twenty parts of water makes a strong, rehable, inexpensive disinfectant for use in and around the poultry house.
