Ancient medieval granite Chapel of St Nicholas St Ives Cornwall England Europe


Simple tiny one roomed St Nicholas Chapel on St Ives Island was originally used to keep watch for smugglers as the island was the perfect landing place for contraband. Built in medieval times and was restored in 1911 and 1971. It is one of many in Cornwall dedicated to fishermen.
