The statue of Apollo in the grounds of Rousham House, framed by the autumnal leaves of a Northern Red oak, Oxfordshire, England

The stone-carved statue of Apollo stands on a slight rise at the end of a tree-lined walk, and is framed by the the leaves of a Northern Red Oak displaying its early autumnal colours, within the landscaped gardens of Rousham House in Oxfordshire. The gardens at Rousham were created by William Kent (1685-1748) and are a fine example of early English landscape design and remain much as he left them.
