The two crypts under the great hall communicating with eachother, were probably in occasional use by the Nuns for devotionalexercise and meditation. The view of the second crypt, lookingfrom the south, was taken immediately after the demolitionof the halland other buildings above, and in the same plate are representedspecimens of the architecture of the building, which is parts delineated are the piscina on the west side of the double.
