A squad of soldiers from the 3rd Battalion, 167th Infantry, 42nd Division is seen in the photograph. They are stationed in Villiers sur Suze, France and are undergoing training. The image shows the squad learning how to charge over the top of a trench. The photograph was taken on February 4, 1916 and received by the Signal Corps, on March 11, 1918. It was censored and released by the War College Division Laboratory on March 14, 1913.
