Vandenberg Air Force Base Recognized as 2015 Military Conservation Partner. Already this year Vandenberg AFB biologists have documented seventeen Western snowy plover nests at the Wall Beach restoration area-where last year there were none. The Fish and Wildlife Service recognized Vandenberg Air Force Base as the recipient of the prestigious Military Conservation Award during a ceremony held at the 30th Space Wing in central California.
